This is an envelope signed by two American politicians.These two men were members of the
U.S. Congress, serving
as United States
Senators from the state of New Hampshire.
The two senators who signed this envelope were:
Norris Cotton
(1900-1989)
Cotton was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives
from 1947 to 1954, and as a U.S. Senator from 1954 to 1974.
and
Thomas J. McIntyre
(1915-1992)
McIntyre
was a member of the U.S. Senate from 1962 to 1979.
This is a First Day of Issue envelope, honoring the late
President John F. Kennedy, on the occasion of what would
have been his 50th birthday, on May 29, 1967.
The envelope
was postmarked in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Included with the envelope is a separate card that has
biographical information on Kennedy, plus some info
on the stamp.
