2-1/4" x 3-3/4" cut autographed and inscribed by Justin Smith Morrill (died 1898). He was a Congressman (1855–1867) and a Senator (1867–1898) from Vermont and was one of the founders of the Republican Party. Also autographed, inscribed and dated "March 01/66" on the back (it is actually two separate papers that have been glued together) by fellow Congressman James Brooks (died 1873).
