Governor Paul Laxlat of Nevada personal letter to Dave Appalon, musician.
Seal of Nevada in slightly glossy gold ink at upper left corner with Paul Laxalt, Governor below the seal in dark blue ink.
Letterhead is glossy dark blue ink, "The State of Nevada, Executive Chamber, Carson City, Nevada".
Ink color of typewritten body of letter is medium blue.
Dated February 17, 1967.
Addressed to:  Mr. Dave Apallon...Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Dear Dave:  Inaugural weekend in Las Vegas was an unforgettable experience for all of us.  In great part was due to your efforts.  Please accept the sincerest thanks of all the Laxalts and my staff.  The music at the Convention Center couldn't have been better.  It established the tone for the entire evening.  Please extend my thanks to each of the members of the group.  I am most appreciative.  Sincerely, Paul Laxalt, Governor of Nevada.  PL/cw."

Watermarked paper is
Winston's Hampshire Bond 100% Cotton.
Measures 7 1/4 x 10 1/2 Inches.
CONDITION:  Watermarked paper is slightly yellowed from age, especially at edges and folds, some brown foxing on reverse, and signs of handling throughout the years.  The letter was originally folded twice horizontally to fit into ane envelope, and has been stored in a plastic page protector for years.
