(1918-2009) He was a career politician and writer who
served as a U.S. Senator from Rhode Island for six terms
from 1961-97. A member of the Democratic Party, Pell is the
longest serving U.S. Senator from Rhode Island. 8 x 10 b&w
glossy photo, inscribed and signed in the lower margin,
accompanied by a typed letter signed (stamp), April 2, 1974.
