~    January 14, 1982, typed letter on Congress of the United States, House of Representatives, letterhead. Addressed to Abe Pred in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The letter is signed simply
Tom
. The letter was stuck in a book and forgotten. So, it was saved quite by accident. The edges are worn, battered, and slightly discolored. See my scan. Still this is a nice example of an informal note from Daschle to a long-time South Dakota Democrat. It is an early piece from Daschle's long term in office.
